his is a unique opportunity to provide operational support to advisors and clients alike. You will be the advisor’s right-hand person to help clients reach their financial goals. The position is an in-office role out of The Bahnsen Group’s New York City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and process paperwork for new accounts, account transfers, account maintenance, withdrawals and required minimum distributions
  • Monitor and confirm transactions in client accounts to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Liaison between the custodian and client
  • Client service and communications
  • Go-to person for advisors and clients
  • Client hospitality and service

Tax Department

JUNIOR ASSOCIATE

Seeking a full-time, in-office, Junior Associate to join the Tax Department in our Newport Beach location. The Junior Tax Associate will work with experienced CPAs and have ample opportunity to grow into a Senior Tax Consultant within the Tax Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all administrative and reporting duties for the Tax Department
  • Facilitate the onboarding process of new tax clients
  • Collect data from clients for tax projections and tax preparation purposes
  • Submit tax filings and file extensions by deadlines
  • Perform initial data entry & analysis for tax returns and tax projections
  • Assist Senior Tax Consultants with analyzing individual and business tax returns to find opportunities and inefficiencies
  • Research federal and state income tax issues and prepare written responses to client questions with support from Senior Tax Consultants
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, tax, accounting, or economics
  • 1-2 years of tax season experience in an established accounting firm
  • Experience with tax preparation software
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong work ethic
Planning Department

ASSOCIATE
 
Seeking a full-time, in-office, Associate to join the Planning Department in our Newport Beach location.  The Associate position is focused on providing financial planning advice directly to clients. Reports to the Director of Financial Planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in financial plan construction, data input, data gathering, aggregation, and plan generation as a support to our Private Wealth Advisor Group
  • Collect and aggregate financial planning information from clients
  • Utilize e*Money financial planning software
  • Support client administrative needs within e*Money
  • Create robust financial plans and formulate recommendations for clients
  • Assist Private Wealth Advisors with ad hoc financial planning projects for clients
  • Lead financial planning meetings with UNHW/HNW clients
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, tax, accounting, or economics)
  • 1-4 years of work experience (preferably in financial services or an RIA)
  • Strong interest in pursuing the CFP® credential (preferably already started the process but does not need to have the designation for hire)
  • A strong understanding of financial planning concepts – tax, estate, retirement, cash flow planning, etc.
  • Accurate, organized, and highly detailed oriented
  • Effective communicator who is highly responsive and can provide thoughtful advice to clients
